A small baitfish profile for searching a swim, then slowing down around likely holding spots.
How to fish it: Use quicker jig-head jerks to search. Change to steady swimming, twitch-and-pause or reel-controlled bottom hops when needed.
Rigging: Jig head: 2–5 g with a #2–1/0 hook. Weedless option: EWG #1–1/0. Dropshot can be nose-hooked or threaded. Kickback is another option; use an EWG only where it gives a suitable balance.
Lure weight: Approx. 2.4 g each (unrigged).
Pack: 6 lures. Hooks and rigging sold separately.
Build the setup:
- Jig Heads with Bait Keeper. Choose 3 g / #2 or 5 g / #1.
- Standard EWG Hooks, #1–1/0, for the unweighted hook option; add a separate weight where the rig requires one.
- Dropshot / Wacky Hooks for the dropshot option; match the hook to the lure and check the fit.
Hook sizes and weights are starting points. Check the hook fit and choose the weight for the depth, current and presentation.
