Many ultra-light jig heads rely on a simple glued bead construction, often using standard hook patterns that are not ideal for true jig presentation. Over time, glued joints can weaken, and the lure may not always track correctly through the water.
Maverick Tackle micro jig heads are made differently.
Each head is hand-tied using fly-tying techniques, then sealed with UV resin to create a strong, durable bond between the hook and tungsten bead. Instead of a standard hook, we use a barbless fly jig hook, designed to ride hook-point-up for a cleaner jig action and fewer snags.
The tungsten bead gives excellent weight in a tiny profile, making these perfect for ultra-light perch, trout and finesse lure fishing where subtle presentation matters.
The result is a compact, durable micro jig head that fishes properly, holds together, and is kinder to fish.
