A longer creature profile for switching between bottom work and other presentations during a session.
How to fish it: Let it fall, then twitch, hop or drag it along the bottom. Steady movement and twitch-and-pause are also options. Weightless surface dragging is an additional option where the rig and retrieve allow it.
Rigging: Texas and Carolina are useful starting choices, using an EWG #1–1/0; an offset worm hook can also work. For a conventional jig head, use #2–1/0, usually #1. Free rig, Jika, dropshot, kickback and weightless are alternatives; Ned is a secondary option. Choose the weight for the rig and conditions, up to 10 g or occasionally 15 g when needed.

Build the setup:
- Standard EWG Hooks. Choose #1 or 1/0. Add a separate weight for the rig.
- Jig Heads with Bait Keeper: 3 g / #2 or 5 g / #1 for the conventional jig-head option.
- Dropshot / Wacky Hooks for the dropshot option; match the hook to the lure and check the fit.
